We’re extremely pleased and excited to report that Core77’s second annual awards competition is now open for entries. The purpose of this contest is to recognize and celebrate both designers and the design profession as a whole, and we couldn’t be happier! There are 17 different categories for submission including two new categories for Food Design, and Writing & Commentary. Core77’s goal for these awards is to provide designers, researchers and writers with the unique opportunity to share the intent and passion they have for their work.

The winning projects will receive a Core 77 Design Awards Awards Trophy. A homage to good design in its own right, the trophy is a mold that can be used to create multiple “trophies” to be shared at the winner’s discretion. All honorees will be published in the Awards Gallery which is shared across Core77’s extensive online network of industry professionals. Both winners and honorees will also be included in the official awards publication.

Last year's winning thesis paper, “Designing Innovation Diffusion,” from Pratt Design Management graduates Dennis Chan, Maggie de la Vega, Jo Glenny, and Tucker Kobylski.

We are huge fans of Core77 as a publication here at Catalyst SDR. We look to their unique voice and quality content as it continues to shape, reflect and inspire the design community, and the value of their contribution in undeniable. We were extremely honored when one of our thesis project’s was recognized last year in the Strategy and Research category, and we’re definitely gearing up for this year’s competition.
